SPEC means headache-free SPE because the product eliminates many of the
drawbacks of conventional SPE materials. Problems associated with channeling (e.g. non-uniform flow through the extraction bed) and poor reproducibility are eliminated by SPEC products.
Owing to the uniform flow properties and excellent mass transfer characteristics of SPEC highly viscous, particle-laden samples (e.g. plasma), and large volumes of dilute samples (e.g. environmental samples) can be processed quickly without clogging the SPEC disc.
SPEC solves clogging problems
Clogging is a common problem in SPE. SPEC relieves this headache by incorporating an inert glass fiber filter atop the SPE media disc. The result is a product which allows aspiration of highly particle-laden and highly viscous samples without clogging. |
